How effective is your criminal check program?

Catherine King recently joined HRPLUS as our new President & CEO. She has a well-proven record of accomplishment and was selected for her ability to lead growth organizations.

On her first day, JR Matthews, Chairman of HRPLUS, introduced Catherine to the HRPLUS staff:

"Catherine’s twenty plus years experience in the staffing industry and extensive human resources knowledge makes her an ideal leader for HRPLUS."

Most recently the Managing Director of Kelly Services UK, Catherine held multiple divisional leadership positions with Kelly Services. Before joining Kelly Services, she worked for ADECCO where she built the Western U.S. business from zero to $100 million in three years.

During the welcome meeting, Catherine explained, "The keys to growth include extensive planning and strong direction for all employees. My goal is to support the HRPLUS management team in targeting areas for improved efficiencies. I want to ensure each and every one of our employees understands how they contribute to our success as an organization – and the success of each of our clients."

It's all about the Quality

The quality – and accuracy – of a background screen is essential to a successful program. HRPLUS has enhanced systems and added personnel to ensure quality assurance review of every background screening report it delivers.

The majority of providers in our industry review fewer than 10% of reports – if they review reports at all before delivery. Other quality assurance programs focus on identifying missed criminal records and addressing researcher issues. While HRPLUS also monitors researcher performance by clocking turnaround, calculating hit rates and tracking accuracy, HRPLUS finds that our quality assurance review also identifies common issues such as transposed identifiers, misspellings and inaccurate matches.

No employer wants to hire an inappropriate applicant – but they definitely don’t want to lose a qualified candidate over misreported information. The HRPLUS quality assurance process ensures more accurate hits and greatly reduces the number of applicant calls regarding misreported information.

Criminal background checks: how effective is your program? 

Even with the most accurate research, the effectiveness of a criminal background check is limited to the scope of the search – you can only find records you look for.

HRPLUS offers many cost-effective ways to identify the correct locations to search. In addition, newer search options greatly expand scope for the cost of a single jurisdiction.
